Thanks to Guest presenter jamie mogil of the league of women voters…

20 January 2021

Did you know that we have a primary election on May 18? This is an off-cycle year of significant importance partly because citizens will be asked to vote on HB 38.

HB 38 is essentially a request by state legislators to allow for the judicial gerrymandering of the PA appellate courts. This proposed PA constitutional amendment would regionalize court appointees and politicize our highest courts—weakening the checks and balances in the three branches of state government and opening the door to a new form of gerrymandering.  If passed by the House and Senate, it will be on the ballot in the May primary.  Please considering voting NO on this proposition. For any questions, feel free to contact Jamie at lowermerionnarberthlwv@gmail.com.

What's on the Ballot?

- Even ward commissioners

- 4 school board positions

- Supreme court judges

- Commonwealth court judges

- Ballot measures (potentially including judicial gerrymandering)
